Glamour Revival

Boy it’s been a crazy few years! With the worlwide plaque that was covid, Sydney experienced lockdowns, mask wearing, curfews, schools closures and kids at home doing online learning. With the many negatives, there were postives to be found. Finding new ways to do things, spending more time at home with loved ones, and time to step away from the busy pace of life. For me personally it meant closing my glamour photography studio. Social distancing is not practical for glamour photography so unfortunately the studio doors were closed.

As sad as it was to close the studio, it allowed time to explore another of my great passions which is painting and art making. I embarked on a program with an American abstract artist that I love ~ Nicholas Wilton. It was a very special few months as I dived into creating, experimenting, and exploring a whole new world of limitless creativity.

This new-found world led me to working as a full time artist and loving it, but a funny thing happened at the start of this year. The desire to shoot portraits began stirring in me again. “But I thought I was done with that” I said to myself. I had been shooting portraits for twenty years when I closed the studio, so it had been a gloriously long but wonderful season. After taking some time to meditate on things, I realised that I still have so much to offer in the area of photography and image creation. My experience and unique skillset were not being utilised, but even more than that, who I am as a person and my ability to connect with women was laying dormant. Not wanting to waste the gifts that have been given to me, I made the decision to start shooting portraits again!

So this is my way of saying…I’M BACK BABY! And with that comes all the thrills of crafting and creating captivating images running at full speed through this creative mind. I am still very much involved in my art and will continue to do so, which means bookings will be limited. So do me a favour and keep me in mind.
